PayPal's US business fee page lists 2.99% for money received for goods and services, with no fixed fee shown on that line: $29.90 on $1,000, $2.99 on $100. We are confirming whether a fixed fee applies. PayPal Checkout on your own invoice or button is 3.49% + 49¢ ($35.39 on $1,000).
The receiver. The sender pays nothing on a goods-and-services payment; the fee comes out of what lands in your account. Friends-and-family payments have no fee but no buyer protection and can't be used for business.
Ask for a bank transfer: a Melio, Zelle for business or Wise request costs $0 to receive, Stripe ACH is 0.8% capped at $5. Against $29.90 on PayPal, that is $1,435.20 a year on four such payments a month.
